Job Summary
We are hiring a full-time, direct-hire Quality Assurance Inspector in Elgin, IL. In this position, you will be responsible for Testing and inspecting products at various stages of production process.
Shifts: 1st & 3rd available
Responsibilities
- Calibration and routine monitoring/maintenance of gauges, dial indicators and calipers, etc., in accordance with standards and procedures
- Control of gauge calibration records via GAGE Trak management software
- Evaluates data and interprets reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing
- Perform other laboratory support functions as required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
- Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- This position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components
